The whole idea of this thread was for him to go on a bad streak...next he will come back for several days without posting any winning picks and pretend he turned it around and is way up! Watch...but try to find the "winning" picks anywhere posted before the games...

It would be a hedge or sorts.

"You can think of the "halftime middles" that bettors often go for as a form of hedging. That is, if you are ahead on your game betting at the end of the first half, you can make a second half bet on the other side, insuring that you'll win at least one, and possibly both."

Google it, you will get as many people calling it a middle as calling it a hedge. So my apologies for leaving out the halftime describer on it.

Any attempt to middle a full game line unless it crosses a key number is fukkin ridiculous. Find me a middle that hits over 10%, 5% if you are getting reduced lines. But if you are getting both numbers at +, I'd call that an Arb before I called it a middle.

I only made 7 plays tonight.

I might agree, to an extent. Sportsbooks have a near infinite BR compared to 99% of bettors. The house edge is enough to wipe out the majority of players over the long term. There are 3 things you must do in order to win long term: money management, money management and money management.

I stopped tracking my record daily until the 0-8 happened. It is much easier for me to go to each book on Monday and look at the prior week, copy and paste into a spreadsheet and see how we are doing. Here are the past 5 weeks:

            63-74 +$280.54
            49-30 +$463.25
            42-37 +$227.85
            49-64 -$30.90
            47-59 -$421.40

            250-264
            +$519.34

That is only 103 plays a week. Not nearly enough volume.

This week will more than likely end up a losing week, depending on the outcome of Saturday's 30 or 40 bets.

And that is what you do. Solid money management to keep yourself in the game and then you rip off a 16-8 Saturday to even things out.

0-8 is hard to do. Turn it around to a 8-0

And the week finishes at 52-45 +$66.54

Never been happier to win such a small amount over the course of 7 days.

Have I mentioned Money Management in this thread yet?

                    6-13 to start this week.

Can any one pick a winner?

                      Probably not. . .

But for what they are worth, my wagers are on the following:

                      La Salle ( +6 -110) (FG)

                      Purdue ( -13 -110) (FG)

                      Air Force ( +18 -110) (FG)

                      James Madison +7½ -109

                      NJ Nets +6 1/2 -105
