    Boston College vs. Rhode Island
Can someone please explain to me how Rhode Island is a one-point favorite tonight vs. BC?? I know URI has had a decent squad in recent years and actually beat BC fairly recently, but BC is 10-2 and has beat PC, Wisky and a couple other decent teams. Something is fishy about this line...

Um... Well, first off BC did not beat Wisconsin. They played them well but lost by about 10.

Rhode Island is a decent team at Home and they play good perimeter defense. BC is an outside shooting team with Donahue. They'll take a 3 before they'll drive to the hoop every time.

I actually like BC tonight but they are still learning a new system.. and are on the ROAD vs a bit of a rival.

      URI plays well at home.
Based on preseason this would have been a bigger favorite than -1 ; however thus far URI has played worse than expected and BC has played better than expected.

I believe that is the reason for the line, I am staying away from this but would play BC if I had to choose a side.
URI goes by way of how Delroy James plays, other than 3 pt shooters they don't really have any other offensive threats than James.
His main problem is stupid fouls which limit his minutes and production.
He could play a great game and they beat BC without too much trouble if he doesn't play a great game BC wins.

You're absolutely right, read the schedule wrong. Even losing to Wisky, they still reeled off five in a row vs. UMass, PC, Indiana, Cal and Maryland. Not national powerhouses, but still decent squads. Should be a good game..

I'm a BC alum and have season tickets for bball. I love what this team is becoming but I just don't trust them with 'too' much of my $$ yet... at least on the road. hahah.

          I'll be rooting for ya!

BC scores 36.1% of their points from beyond the 3pt line. Rhode Island holds opponents to 27.9% from behind the arc for the season. In both of Boston College's losses they struggled shooting the ball from beyond the arc (15.8% against Yale and 29.2% against Wisconsin). It is going to be Boston College's 3pt shooting vs. Rhode Island's 3pt defense tonight. Somethings got to give as a BC shoots well behind the arc and Rhode Island plays good 3pt defense. In my opinion, it all hinges on how BC shoots the ball. I am going to play Rhode Island small in this spot at home. Good luck on whomever you choose.
