i dont have a family my mom and dad passed away i just got a uncle and thats it.if i break up ima pursue vegas and dealing poker.im sure ill find a good woman out there and be happy.

yeah my debts arent to bad i owe about 1,500 in credit cards and i can settle up them for about 1,000 ill have no credit but i wont owe anything.i have my secuity licence d which is okay i have to see what that can get me in las vegas (prolly a couple jobs here and there)and i just got my associates.

i owe school 5,000 towards my a.a but i only got to pay 20.00 a month and i can easily hand this to my uncle to pay.

so ill have 0.00 and a a.a and d licence im trying to fix my life and do the right things i really am.i just need help and to get off my feet.

If you have been with this woman for four years, not knowing you at all, I would still guess that she is what is worth fighting for and she is who you should make concessions for. So you give up gambling for a few years while you get established in the world, that is fine, you are young, you have plenty of time.

With all due respect to SBR_John and his team, it would be better for you to stop gambling and share time at this point in your life with someone that loves you and build something based on that rather than attempt the much longer odds of being a successful gambler at the expense of those that love you.

if i move to las vegas it would be drasitc change but the way i see it is if i fail i fail i can always fall back on my uncle while im 23 and atleast i said i tried if it works out and i get a dealing job and make say 30k + starting than i am a happy person life doesnt always come easy.im seeing that now.

its not the gambling im worried about i wanna deal poker make a honest living 30k a year which is solid for a young person like me.

if i deal in las vegas im not saying ill become a milloaire or anything but ill enjoy doing what im doing and ill be on my own.

why cant i do that in miami i called the casinos and there simply not hiring i dont know if las vegas is hiring or not but there is more casinos so im assuming my options are more.

You may want to start researching 'cause the 30K you are set on may be a bit high to start. Keep in mind it's one of those catch-22's, they want dealers with at least a year experience but you would be fresh out of some school with 40 other dealers, plus dealer school is about 1K, that was years ago no idea what it is now.

As for the girl, well girls come and go, I don't know anyone that meet their wife/husband at 23.

$30k a year? Jesus im broke as a bucket in college but even If I was making $30k a year I would still feel like I wasnt making any money. Living conditions are different in San Francisco for me but when I graduate I want atleast $80k for full time work. $70k at the min

There are no jobs in Vegas unless you want to clean toilets at fleabag local casinos, and unless you plan on living in Summerlin where there are nice homes, there are many seedy areas. Anyone who plans on moving to Vegas because they think it's their calling is in for a rude awakening. The Dealers are churning out people, but most of them either find a part-time gig at a fleabag joint, or are moving to states with Indian Casino's etc. The latest unemployment rate is the highest in the nation at 14.3%...which is another red flag.

Las Vegas has like about a 14% unemployment rate. You likely have no chance of working as a poker dealer if you have no experience and have not attended a poker dealing school.

Maybe you could get a minimum wage job working as a porter, but even that might be hard to come by.
