He is 84 years old. He is older than the Hoover Dam, the 1929 stock market crash and the Empire State Building. But he is still having fun coaching 18 year old kids.

He is doing a complete disservice to PSU..........especially to coaches in the wings.
Most of his assistants dislike him and talk very rudely of him behind his back.

he will probably die on the sidelines during a game.
Not that he "coaches" anything anyway, he is just there to watch

I was really hoping he could win a national title before he went but it is not looking like it anytime soon for PSU.
Lots of respect to Joe Pa for all of his accomplishments

Where it's really starting to show is in recruiting. Their signee's for next year are really bad, and he can't get out on the road anymore, which makes it worse. Unfortunately he's so big the Chancellor etc. have no way of getting rid of him because of the PR nightmare that would ensue. Only two things to get him out is death or his wife...one of the two.
All of his assistants etc., if you believe the rumors, have already been told there is no chance of any of them getting the Head Coach position when Joe leaves. Bradley and Vanderlin both interviewed for HC jobs elsewhere. Bradley was turned down by Temple.
