a fairy tale characters birthday is the reason for all this. i never knew. the best place to avoid it is to go to a casino. they don't even put up one decoration(foxwoods/mohegan sun) specifically. what a relief to go there and have no reminders or references to this horrible day which disrupts horse racing and other sports. at least the nba understands that no one really cares. it's for kids and woman only.

I don't really like Christmas, but I guess there are worse things. Like being homeless, living in Iraq, being in prison. OK, Christmas sounds pretty damn good now, stop complaining about Christmas you dumbasses!

Like it I celebrate the birth of Christ and it does not matter when his real bd was it is now we celebrate it and that is the real reason of Christmas and like getting together with family

My point being that Jesus was 33 1/2 when he died, not 33. He wasn't executed around the time of his birthday. He was baptized around the time (or on) his 30th birthday in the fall.

EDIT: The Gospels chronicle three and a half years of his ministry. That half is there.
