I have off shore accounts SBR knows nothing about. They could be considered private accounts. So to become a pro all that's needed is $200 with one outfit. I don't see the need to shelter all of the accounts. All I want is to get paid when I win. SBR can be an ally when it comes to that.

People have their reasons. Some are broke and some play with locals. What I don't like is that people who aren't pros complain when changes like what are coming up happen. Yes, in a perfect world the changes wouldn't have to happen, but the world isn't perfect and there will be people defrauding the system. I dont trade/bet purely in my own name and for probably 8 or 9 out of 10 bets I place the sponsor books' limits and lines are crap, plain and simple.

If there were to come a time when a sponsor has 'proper' soccer markets and four figure line limits I might change my tune but I don't see that happening anytime soon unless John starts brushing up on a few Asian languages.

The way I see it, it's all about business. The second you decide to gamble, whether it's locally, offshore, with sbr points, whatever... you have decided you are going to participate on some level in business transactions involving thr sports betting industry. Once this decision has been made, it doesn't matter if your a Pro or not, whether you safeguard yourself more than someone else or not... it matters that if or when something does go wrong, you are PREPARED to fix it. If you honestly can't say to yourself that you can fix the worst case scenario... your setting yourself up to be fukd.

Even if I lose all my bets this weekend (more than 50% of my roll), I'd still qualify as a pro. I just don't know enough to see any benefit to becoming a pro.

As for me ..I use 2 locals and meet up with them every week.I have a $2500 credit limit with one and $1000 with the other.
I look at it this way.Lets say you deposit 2 dimes into a book and win 2 dimes the 1st week.Your 1st payout are you going to ask for the $4000? or are you going to ask for a 2k payout,which is only your post up money back.
If you have control..Credit the way to go!
