My certainty in life: I SUCK AT GAMBLING
So after a decent run that I've had in the past month, I had a serious realization tonight:

I SUCK and death and taxes are more of a gamble than me picking winners.

All the work trying to pick winners is a great challenge and very rewarding (when it works), don't get me wrong, but I've been on the WORST streak since I started (about 4 years ago) in the past 4 days (3-12) that it has pissed me off so much and I am going to do what every gambler/"investor"/handicapper should do: FADE THEMSELVES and pay attention to their streaks.

The way I see it, and correct me if I'm wrong, but everyone is trying to come up with a million ways to win, but in the end, are you really in the black? Doubtful. Once you jump on someone's hot streak, they lose and so do you. Once you fade a Lang-alike, they begin to win. So why not follow someone who is telling you they suck, figure out their streaks, and just do the opposite. When they're on a hot streak, fade; when their stone cold, double up on their plays?

This brings me to my best (and most logical) system ever - I present to you:

    THE COSTANZA SYSTEM

This system is going to be all my plays (or anyone else you'd like to test this with) that I will post (when I can) and I'm going to conduct a little experiment and see if it works - to do the COMPLETE opposite of everything I see holy and want to play.

I don't suggest jumping on this immediately, but maybe check it out for a week and see the results. It could very well crash and burn like every other "system" out there, but at this point, I could give 2 sh!ts and feel dumber than tree bark.

    Bad misfortunes to all,
    trip7's

If that's the case, and I'm pretty positive it is, then the Costanza system is a perfect fit.

                        Remember...

"Chicken salad, on Rye...untoasted...with a side of potato salad and a cup of tea."

"My name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents."

I asked him about that too and I tried searching for that thread it was labeled "15k bet at ceasars" and I can't find it anywhere. I have asked him on three different threads about him collecting off his beard and he just ignores the questions.

15 plays in 4 days? There is your problem right there. How can there be that many edge plays in 4 days? This is how the books make all their money. Speaking from experience when you play that many games the books will end up with your money everytime. I mean ya if you are hot then ride it but it is going to end and when it does with that many plays the winnings will be gone faster than Landers last mortgage.

Agreed 100%, but I usually play 4-5 games across all sports each day and the last few days just absolutely killed me. I'm not betting out of my budget and manage the bankroll, but to have a losing streak like that is just unheard of. I mean LANG wouldn't even go that bad and that says something.

My worse streak I think was about 2 years ago. 2-15 one month. I will have to say though, instead of increaseing my bet size, I did the right thing and decrased it every week. Bankroll management is the honestly the only thing we have going for us and will at least satisfy having something on a game.

Losing streaks suck. No doubt. During the China open a few months ago I lost 11 wagers in a row. No bullsh*t. Not all of them on tennis. Mixed in with a few baseball games too. I lost over $700 during the 0-11 run and over 1k that week. After my 7th loss I started fading my pick and that's when I started picking the right side. Go figure.

Common sense tells me anything I'll pick starting now will win. I could go another 0-5 today, but highly unlikely. I'm predicting a 50/50 day.

First lean I have is New Jersey Nets - spread +9.

Also playing Denver/SA Under 213.5. I think I'll stick with those 2 plays today. I hope I lose.
