Professor wants to skype with me

go to skype website. create an account. ask the professor for his skype name. send him a message. when he confirms you as a contact you can call him and talk to him via phone or video phone if your laptop has camera. you can see him on your laptop screen and he can see you and you just talk normally without holding a phone or anything and the quality of sound is better than phone.

And just to add to what Pavy said, if you want to talk to him, or anyone, via your mobile when you're not at your computer, just download the Skype app. You can call people long distance - as long as they've downloaded Skype too and are logged in - for free.

shari, will download that app later this week, going in for an upgrade first.

i guess if i'm gonna create an account there may as well make full use of it.

If your laptop has a build-in camera you don't have to do anything. Once you download the skype software from their website it's as easy as eating apple pie.

Skype is really easy to set up and use

just do it, get your grade, and then erase the prof from your contacts.

Like everyone's said it should be painless. I would suggest doing a dry run with someone else first just to make sure the microphone is at the right level, the camera is pointed at the right place, etc.

not sure if you can change it or not, I'll bet you can, but worst-case just abandon that account and create a new skype account afterward that has the username you prefer.

Pavy's right too Stealthy. Burrito is also little donkey in Spanish. Burro is a regular donkey, but adding the 'it' makes it diminutive. Kind of the same deal as Italian.

Actually from looking at Wiki it seems the food burrito may have got it's name because it looks a bit like a donkey's ear or from the roll pack you put on a donkey's back to carry things.

I had considered that but my phone's definitely running on 3G and my laptop's connected to the hotel's wifi. But maybe both of those connections are just crappy here at the moment? Or is the 3G and wifi somehow related? Hell if I know.
