Ends up playing in a weekly pool you run. He doesn't know it's your pool. He gets in at a bar he goes to, through someone there. The stiff hits the pool for a little less than he stiffed you for. You keep the prize. Case closed.

I would personally talk to him about it...and try to work some agreement
first I would start of by bringing up the previous money owed and ask if he minds you keeping the pot and you'll call it even...see how he reacts, and negotiate from there. try to get at least half minimum

I would talk to him before I did it, "Hey man you stiffed me $400 and now you won it let's say we settle up?"

Something along those lines, he will go for it.

if you run the pool then he has to come see you to get paid. Simply put the $400 in your pocket in front of him then hand him a bill for the remaining amount with interest.

But thats not how I do things, because no one owes me money for more than 90 days

well, no way in fukin hell would you hand cash over to someone who owes you cash, are you fukin stupid???

Obviously you handled the first transaction badly so this one has to be handled badly, thats just the nature of fuked up business. Its your fault & you know that now for never collecting your money, so now you keep this pool money, plain & simple. And if he runs his coksuker badmouthing you then you have to make sure it will be packed with gauze for the next 4 weeks & when he can talk again I bet he finds different things to talk about than you.
