    Bingo

I lived in **, MD for 2 years. Didn't get much better. Winter is there of course but mild in regards to snow. Beach is 2.5 hours away. City life is right there. Lots of cash in area, too.

Also in the summer, nothing is better, and I mean nothing, compares to Northern Michigan.

There are seven states with no state income tax. If you had a choice, why would you blindly give 10 or 12 percent of your salary to the state? Of the seven, it never snows at all in one and rarely in the other. So now your choice is narrowed considerably to South Texas or South Florida.

                    Orlando worth a look.

Great seasonal weather, beaches are just close enough, fishing, babes and golf are all plentiful and reasonably priced.

This is NOT the place to make money, that's for sure. What's the bmf???

Portland, Oregon area is nice, somewhat recession proof.
Deuce is right, out-state MI (at least 2-3 hours N. of Detroit) is gorgeous in the summer

Anywhere but Pittsburgh. Grew up in Jersey and came out here for school. Snows all the time.
