I live in a pretty nice bldg and wondering how much you guys think i should tip Maintenance/bldg manager. it is the same person. now keep in mind the guy does very little for me year round and when he does do something he gets tipped each time for whatever he does. I have heard 100 for a guy that does things all year but doesnt get tipped each time. I always struggle with trying to figure out what to give him beacause he gets tipped eacj time when he does do something.

Same problem here. Live in a nice building in brooklyn and there are 10-20 staff members between doormen, maintenance, porters, etc. Dunno how to tip them...Comment -
buy him a fifth of the finest alcohol in the world, Jack Daniel Tennessee sippin' whiskey. He'll thank you for it & it'll put a big smile on his face. Wrap the bottle with some festive holiday paper, he'll know exactly what it is when you hand it to him & wish him a merry xmas & thank him for all his hard work throughout the year.Comment
