shit id complain too if i was about to play in -20 weather and a layer of ice on the field.

Players have a valid complaint, since they have to play the following week against a team that didn't play the week before on concrete. Both these teams lose the following week no matter what Mondays outcome as they have to recover from conditions other teams have not played this year. Unless they are Superbowl contenders, which I doubt either team is.
It would be the same as hockey being played without the zamboni going by to make it a playable field.

I hope no one gets a concussion when they fall hard on the ice sheet. They couldn't find any indoor arena near by?
