Ricky Williams fails another drug test
two sources are confirmming this. i guess he's all but done now.

Dolphins RB Williams violates NFL drug policy

    February 19, 2006
MIAMI (Ticker) - Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams apparently is in trouble with the NFL again.

The Miami Herald reported on its web site Sunday night that Williams faces at least a one-year suspension from the NFL after testing positive for drug use a fourth time under the league's substance abuse policy.

According to the report, two sources confirmed a report by WSVN-TV that Williams had failed the test, although neither would say the substance he used. Williams had tested positive in the past for marijuana use.

After stunning the football world by announcing his retirement during training camp in July 2004, Williams returned to the NFL this past season and rushed for 743 yards and six touchdowns.

Williams missed the first four games of the season and was fined for the second and third violations of the substance abuse program. Those positive tests reportedly occurred in December 2003 and in the 2004 offseason.

Known for his interesting and complex nature off the field, Williams has rushed for 7,097 yards in six seasons since being picked fifth overall by the New Orleans Saints in 1999. The Saints traded eight picks to the Washington Redskins for the right to select the former Heisman Trophy winner.

In 1999, Williams' professional career also started in odd fashion when his eight-year contract was negotiated by rapper Master P's agency. The deal contained large incentives but low base salaries, including just $350,000 as a rookie.

Well time for him to go find himself again. Off to India or where ever he went the last time, and to start looking like a caveman again.

It's just ashamed! I mean really if you take away the drug problem. He could of ended up with some solid numbers. Maybe even ended up in Canton if he could of played long enough. What a waste.

But if there was a choice between weed and lifetime financial stability

I would choose lifetime financial stability... ricky selected weed.

I don't know anybody that would play football, or any other sport, better because of weed. Wasn't the anti-drug policy in sports meant to weed out performance enhancers?

Just another example of rules and regulations by people who derive some sort of obscene pleasure from telling others how to live their lives; like the anti-gambling crowd. I'm kinda glad that there is one athlete who doesn't buy into it.

lol. I believe it. Better intuition.

Just some thoughts. Discard as you please.
Marijuana. I always considered it a sacred plant in the way that a Sioux indian would. It can show the way, open doors, give flashes of great insight. The idea is to move on and find that place without chemical help. Some get stuck, and over the years it dulls them beyond belief.

Ricky Williams is what I would consider a truth seeker, someone who obeys an intuitive call to explore the unknown. The world usually makes fun of such people, perhaps because they don't understand, perhaps because they envy the courage to risk it all, regardless of the consequences. In the Tarot deck he would be the Fool, the only major arcana card to make it to the modern deck as the Joker. I like him, because it takes character to stand up to the world. Every pioneer started out as a fool. Besides, I loved fading the Dolphins. lol

The crazy thing is that the Chargers would probably have made the playoffs if it weren't for Ricky Williams...

Way it goes. Has he paid everyone back yet? I remember the court said he had to pay the dolphins some of the contract back, right?

This guy is just plain stupid or this man just smokes way more weed than anybody else, like 20 times more. A lot of the players in every major sport smoke weed or do some type of steroid or some type of illegal drug in some form but many players have found clever ideas to hide or mask the results and other ways around the system. I am guessing over 50% of players do some form of what I had mentioned above. From Rasheed, Michael Irvin, and etc, how in the hell is someone this stupid to get caught again especially when most of everyone else is doing it also. Someone like that does not have true brains, I remember when the Saints had enought of him and Master P as his agent. Ricky final horray I believe was a speeding incident when he was speeding 150 miles down a street on a 25 speed limit in New Orleans. New Orleans is fed up with him, Dolphins are fed up and now you got NFL to investigate into this matter.

ounce of weed, (good weed) goes for about $275-300 here. you do the math

Another thing how in the world does someone get in trouble like that. Ricky should become a wrestler. I know wrestling is staged but how in the world is someone going to get that big of size like a a Triple HHH without help from other forms. These wrestlers do not have time to work out especially if you factor all the travel time they have to do and etc. Ricky should be in wrestling, perfect for him. A lot of people do what Ricky enjoys drugs and painkillers. Wrestling is perfect for him, all wrestlers are very tight lipped and never snitch on each other unlike Ken Caminiti and Jose Canseco. The owner is a beast of a man at over 60 years old, Vince McMahon, 60 year old does not look like that for that age and size without some form of help. So Ricky I have given you the open door, next venture try wrestling, it is perfect for you.
