This goes without saying but if you're not prize eligible do everyone a favor and don't play. I'm not playing so don't do it for me but the ruling is that anyone can play and win, but if they are not eligible for prizes then those prizes just don't get paid out to anyone. Tuesday the winner was underaged and thus not eligible, so the top prize just wasn't paid out. You get a few of these guys on top of the leaderboard and nobody is collecting anything other than a few scattered $10 accounts. Anyway it wasn't Sam's fault, he didn't know what would happen, neither did the rest of us. We just thought if a noneligible member won then everyone would be moved up in this spot, that's usually how it works. Not the case, be aware of that going on if you see guys going all-in every hand and playing wild, they might be just playing for fun. Doesn't cost a pro anything so some might just play for practice. Good luck guys, and thanks Greek for the tournament.

So the $200 just didn't get paid out last time? It's not Sam's fault but that is BS. I appreciate the free prizes SBR and The Greek. It just doesn't seem fair to advertise the top prize and then just keep it. Can't you distribute it to the rest of the top 10?

I'm seriously considering buying a shitty old Windows laptop just to play twice a week? How many guys usually play? That would be a lot of help in my decision...

The decision has already been made. I agree with you though, it's ridiculous the site would rather keep the $200 than pay it out to their posting base. One thing for sure I'm done with the poker room here, it's no wonder the place has done nothing but lose momentum since it opened. Once it was talked about daily, now nobody gives a shit. I see why, add me to that list, these kind of decisions just make no sense.

I'd make sure Bill and/or John is aware of this. Sometimes a decision is made and at that point the decision-maker is locked in. No matter how ridiculous the decision is, to save face they are not going to change their mind. Yeah Greek authorized the monies but since I said nobody is getting it than nobody is getting it!!! Pathetic. If John wants to beat his own players out of $200 bucks I'd be very surprised, not sure what Dozer would say but probably worth finding out.

Sam was credited 200 points, since he is not able to have an account with the poker sponsor.

As for the contingent of folks that think if they finished in 2nd place, that they should be moved up to 1st, the play was decided on the tables. Everyone who finished in place x, y, z gets paid for their slot assuming they submitted a valid account prior to the tourney beginning.

Nothing to do with a "contingent of folks that came in 2nd place" Lou, everybody should have been moved up if there was a player that came in the money above them and was not eligible for a prize. How hard is that to understand!? At least Sam got paid something, that was a nice gesture, still a horrible decision to not move up everyone else. So in the unlikely event tonight that the top 5 finishers all are ineligible to cash than the field would consist of only $25, $15 and $10 dollar winners? Nobody would be moved up or take any of the money for the first 5 spots? Why would you make that policy, that's silly IMO, give everyone that plays a fair shake. Very easy rule - if a player cashes that is not eligible everyone is moved up a spot, all stated prizes will be awarded! Very simple, fair, and easy to understand.

Obviously Lou wants to show he's the boss now, it's not about getting it right. There's an old saying - once you feel angered in a discussion you quit arguing for what is right and begin to argue for yourself. That's exactly what happened here. I still like the guy but the sad thing is when Lou first started he would have been arguing for the players, not against us. The fact he's pissed anyone even wanted a decision speaks for itself. You'd think he had to pay out the proper prizes out of his own roll or something. It's called burn out, seen it in many a mod, maybe some new blood in the poker arena would infuse this area of the site. Very poor decision here, no reason at all not to pay out what is stated. Going forward someone can't follow the rules and does not open the appropriate account there is no reason at all to punish everyone else that played, you got this one wrong Lou, sorry bud.

Why would I get ran for an opinion? It's called a discussion. If we sit quietly and don't speak up when a mistake is made they will never get corrected. Not paying out stated prize money because a player is not eligible to cash? Why in the world would you punish everyone else that did things by the book? And I'm not arguing for myself at this point, I wouldn't take the money if it came with a gold coochie on the side, just would like to see them get it right going forward. And it's the principle of the thing, Lou should be trying to help out the guys that look up to him and respect him, not going against us just for the hell of it. Anyway just my two cents, I'll move on now.
