lmao, it is one of THOSE faces...

Anyways, good for the red sox. The game is shifting more towards speed guys, low scoring games. Good pick-up.

Wow! Wonder if he plays LF or CF in Fenway. Theo making big moves. Now time to piece together a bullpen. Damn strong lineup if guys are healthy.

Great signing this is regardless of cost....for the next 2/3 years anyway, as someone said earlier on wait until the back end of that contract when he's lost his speed and is hitting .220 with 5 homers, that'll be worth the money!!!

Red Sox hitting with Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford is looking a lot better for 2011. Huge loss for the Rays.

His triples and defense are both products of his speed. The guy is just south of 30. The Sox are rewarding him with the length of this contract in the hopes for a good four years out of him.

Red Sox fans can now never complain about the Yankees trying to buy a World Series. They've lost that right. The unfortunate thing is that while the Red Sox are doing everything they can to be like the Yankees, but they're not doing what can really help them. They need more pitching, as their team ERA was in the bottom third of all of baseball. After Lester and probably Buchholz they don't really have anybody reliable. Hence, they're doing everything they can to be like the Yankees.

Love the signing....still need a right handed back somewhere to balance out the line up and some bullpen help. Particuarly, a lefty.

You can't have everything and if you do, prepare to pay billions. I would have preferred Boston go for Lee and stayed away from Crawford cos the lineup without Crawford is devastating and adding Lee would have made the Red Sox a well rounded tough ass team to beat.

And the Angels should sign Lee now. They should have a lot to spend, at least i thought they did.

But with Crawford gone you can now expect the Yanks to be willing to go far and away above any other dollar offer for Lee.

CRAWFORD and ELLSBURY in LF/CF may be the fastest duo at those two positions in the history of the game.

So I'll reiterate what Andy117 wrote: It's a ton of money for a pure speed guy.

I'm confused as to why adding two bats automatically makes the Red Sox the best team in baseball. The bats aren't going to do anything to help the bullpen hold a lead.

There's rumors swirling they're trying to move Ellsbury. Crawford is a nice plug in if you can get pitching for Ells.

Rsox are doing what the Yankees have always done: trying to buy championships.

Really? They've made two moves, one of which the Yankees couldn't have cared less about. These two signings now gets the Red Sox on the same plane as the Yankees in hitting. They needed to play catch up, not the other way around.

The only infield positions where we don't completely crush you are 2B(where we're tied) and C where we suck dick. Both bullpens suck and our SP is way better.
