Need tech help with a phone!
Unable to google the answer. My employer gave me a phone. I would like the number assigned to that phone to show up when I use my other phone. So I would also need to answer that number on my other phone. The call display would have to show the number assigned to the work phone. Pain in the ass because I'm carrying around two phones. Also don't like the keyboard on the one given me.

Maybe this is a stupid question. Impossible or very possible. Dunno...

I'm old school. There must be some hi-tech wizardry to accomplish this.

I know about that but the number of the work phone would have to show on the call display.

so lemme get this straight. you are wanting 1 phone to dial out with 2 different numbers, and receive calls from 2 different numbers correct?

Call forwarding takes care of half your problem.

Making calls and having it spoof another number is possible on the iPhone but pretty damn tiresome to have to do every time.

Right. The more I think about it, mission impossible....otherwise it'd be common knowledge and everyone would be doing it.

Call forwarding would show the number of the phone the call was forwarded to on the other person's display.....at least it always has when I called someone's home # and they had it forwarded to their cell.

yes its mission impossible. how would you know if its your personal or business line that someone is calling? and when you dial out how do you know what number is dialing out?

just give all your contacts in your personal phone your business number. case closed

Maybe the best way is to have two separate phones (one for each line) and have each phone have it's distict ring tone?

No. You are missing the point.

Phone A (A) is personal and Phone B (B) is business. One has to be an iPhone, so make it A. Go to B, set call forwarding to A's number. So now every call made to B will go to A. Every call to A will obviously go to A, so now all incoming issues are solved.

Outgoing isn't hard, just a little tedious, so whatever phone you use less you should make that the iPhone. So, let's say it's still A that is the iPhone, you download a spoof app. It will let you make outgoing calls with any number you want that will show up on the recipient's caller ID, so they could never tell what phone you were using. You would save B's number in the app so that you don't have to keep typing it in.

Here is a shitty video showing what I mean:

Not impossible. There are dozens of apps to allow spoofing, find the one that is easiest/cheapest and you're set.

But you're still carrying around two phones. I was happy when not carrying around any phone.
