Exactly. This number is designed to get bettors on AU. Bama has won every home game by double digits this season, and this one won't be an exception.

#39I have never seen so much mis-information in one thread. First, for you line know-it-alls, if the line was designed for people to play on Auburn, if failed miserably. 'Bama opened up at -3.5. Now the line is at -5.
xplain that one people. Ditto for you people who think that the squares are on Auburn. They are clearly on 'Bama.
As far as the game goes, I would like to see 'Bama win the game because we know that Auburn is a dirty school, both on and off the field. 'Bama is going to score a lot of points in this one, and Auburn's luck (and they have had plenty this season) is going to run out. The question is whether or not Auburn can cover the spread.Comment -

#40This is not the game you want to have your biggest road test. Bama played a more daunting schedule considering they played Ark,LSU,SC on the road and Auburn played them at home. Auburn is ready to unravel. They just need some pushing and the wheels will fall off. Amid all of the allegations Auburn has held it together but you know some of the players feel dirty or used in this as well. They have held it together because there was something to fight for, but if they have some adversity early in the most hostile enviroment they have ever seen it could get ugly. Auburn has not played much road competetion this season and when they have they were lucky to escape winners. As good is Newton has been and is this is another world. Newton is not Auburn and he is not about this rivalry. This will be unlike any environment he has ever played in against probably the best defense Auburn has faced. LSU maybe better but Bama at home should be similar to LSU on road. Alabama's starting QB is a Senior leader that bleeds Bama and I don't think he or any of his teammates have any plans of walking off that field losers Friday. Also, Mcelroy has played and won big games already in his career so he will not be fazed. Alabama has been unbeatable at home the last 3 yrs. The Bryant Denny home field is like no other. it will be rocking and not a good place for a "rookie" QB. Newton is very, very good but still is a rookie when it comes to a venue like this. Blinn JR college has no games like this.
That is what Bryant Denny is all about.Last edited by BernardMadoff; 11-24-10, 10:12 AM.Comment -

#41books want everybody on auburn bet it big... but the tide will control the game and slow it down causing that dual threat scam newton to rush things expect to see what you havent seen much of from auburn because they havent had it which is bama will win special teams and they will win turnovers and the big key here TIME OF POSSESION. after a couple of turnovers bama will be in cruise mode with a ten point win. in games like this you can throw the fans a 12th man baby.bama will police the scam and bring jutice...lol mmwwhhhahahahahaaaComment -

#42What is it with you. You claim to not like either program but any thread that mentions Bama you are in and bashing them. Is it because your Florida Gators have got their ass whooped the past two times they played? Is it because Florida is horrible this season so you are trying to equate Bama's two losses to the four of Florida's? Or is it because you just have penis envy and wish when you were younger you chose the better school to align yourself with? Whatever it is you clearly have an agenda. You go to every single Bama thread and have something negative to say but yet you dont care for Auburn or Bama. If you hate living in the state of Alabama so much and hate dealing with the fans so much why dont you move to Gainesville, Florida where you can wear your jorts and not be made fun of.Comment -

#44Touts will be on Tide. Public will be on Auburn.I'm just gonna wait a bit longer to see which direction the line goes, but i think this is a good candidate to tease. I can't see either team getting killed. Both teams have some talent mismatches, but Bama's linebackers v. Auburn QB and RB's is where the game will be won or lost.

#46Well, the easy answer is load the box to stop Cam. Since that hasn't worked all year, I'll go with ball control and field position. I would imagine that Bama will look to take advantage of the few weaknesses that Auburn has: punting, and their secondary.
There are good matchups to exploit on the outside with WR and RB screens, and Bama will likely use the screen liberally in order to slow down Auburn's outside pass rush. Defensively, Bama can't give up the big play.
With this rivalry, there is no clear favorite, but I'd look to play the under, this is the highest o/u total in some years.Comment -

I am very well aware Mcelroy is not from Alabama, but he has been on that campus for quite sometime and has a national championship while at Alabama. Newton, started out at Florida "preferred" school but obviously things didn't work out and he went to Blinn Jr college in TX. When he finished his time there he needed a school to attend and the "money was too much at Auburn" LOL. During the allegations of accepting money Newton even said his "heart" was still in Florida?? That is not good for business. If Newton does not win this game and does not win at least an SEC Championship he will be forgotten in time or just remembered as a great talent. Bama is a school that takes care of there own, especially the winners and Mcelroy is a winner. Mcelroy will be able to make it in the real world without his Alabama ties but if he ever needed Alabama for anything all he needs to to is ask. True, Mcelroy holds on to the ball too much at times but at the same time he rarely commits a turnover.Comment -

#48Aside from Arkansas, Bama has the best offense Auburn has faced this season. The Razorbacks hung 43 on the Tigers.
Auburn's corners are soft one on one and Jones should have a big day against them. There will be some points in this one folks....count on it.
Auburn has only played three away games so far this season.....how did they do?Comment -

RMFT= Roll Mother Fu**ing Tide. Nothing mentioned about money but if you want to get on that topic lets. Auburn is known as a very corrupt program. Fact! Cam Newton is in the news for supposedly requesting money. Fact! Auburn is still the little brother in the state. Fact! Auburn is fu**ed when the NCAA and FBI is done. Fact!Comment -

#61The Auburn Hillbillies
By a friend of mine from Facebook
Come and listen to a story about a kid named Cam,
A liar and a thief, but Auburn didn’t give a damn
Then one day he got paid to play the game
And out of nowhere the investigators came
NCAA that is, judge and jury, Committee on Infractions
Well the first thing you know Auburn decides to go “all in
”Cheating didn’t matter just as long as we can win
Glendale, Arizona is the place we want to be
So we threw out the rulebook and called ourselves “family
”The Auburn family that is, yes we cam, “lean on me”
Well now it’s time to say goodbye to Cam and all our wins
He’ll play in the NFL with that same s.h.i.t. eatin’ grin
How in the world could we have been such fools
,Now we have to pick up the pieces of what’s left of our school
Sanctions that is, reduced scholarships, bowl bans
We’ll be back now y’hear?Comment -

#64In case you haven't noticed, Bama's defense has only given up one 100 yard rusher all season. They cover receivers fairly well. And Auburn's secondary has had some issues. You asked why the odds were set this way and all I did was point out reasons why. Get your tiger panties out of your crack.Comment
