So get her exactly what she wants, but go with cubic zirconia. Maybe at the 1 year anniversary mark, you can replace it with a real diamond. The type of girl that actually cares about what type of rock is in the ring, imo, isn't a keeper. The ring is supposed to be a symbol of an eternity together, not a symbol of how much you love her because of how much you paid for it.

Actually, if you find an appropriate mate, life is fine. Personally, I believe that a person should never compromise anything in a relationship, and I refuse to do so. Most people disagree with me, and say that there will always be compromises. I think that if you have to compromise things, then you have done what everybody has just done, which settling for what you think is the best that you are going to find. There's nothing wrong with being single. There are billions of people on this planet. Exactly! I guess the way that I was raised, asking a girl to marry you is supposed to be a surprise for her. You ask her dad for her hand, he hopefully says yes, then you go shopping for the ring. It doesn't matter what you get - the girl should be thrilled with whatever you get her. If she's not, well, that's a pretty huge red flag to me.

1.02 will cost much more than a 0.98

Next, make sure the diamond is at minumum a VG CUT, the second C..........

Thirdly, make sure the color is no worse than J, the third C.............

Last and fourth, make sure the Clarity is at least VS1.......the fourth C...........

Go run these criterias through with the seach at BLUE NILE and see what you come up with.......I'm guessing around $3,000, which will be a very good deal.

Other things to be concerned with are the SYM and POLISH of the diamond.........I would make sure at least one of these is VG and the other G.......at worst.

No, he is an ex because he is a lying, cheating scumbag who didn't care enough to listen to my answer when he asked what did I want. My fingers are short and certain cuts only emphasizes that.
