#40Incredibly, this isn't the 1st time Pennington and his backup were knocked out for the rest of the season in the same game. It happened with him and Jay Fiedller for the Jets a couple of years back. His bad luck with injuries tends to be contagious.Comment -

#41this makes mia a complete team, thigpen will turn the ball over the same as henne but they will take more shots in the passing game.Comment -

#44I always thought Ramsey was an OK player. Spurrier got him killed in Washington, but if Jim Sorgi and Curtis Painter can be a backup in this league, there should be a spot for Ramsey.

#52Jeff Garcia might make sense.
But I guess it's gotta be Thigpen for Thursday. That'll be interesting. I doubt he'll throw much. Bears not easy to run through.Comment -

#53He signed with the Royals in September. He might come back if they wanted him, though.
Torn rotator cuff for Pennington and dislocated shoulder for ex-Dolphin Fiedler.
Thus began the brief Brooks Bollinger era.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#54If I was Miami I'd call Garcia. You know he knows how to play in this league and he's been active playing competitive football. Where else are you going to find a QB with that much experience who's in game playing shape?
Anyone seen a line for Thursday? Going to be interesting. Miami has to plan with a new QB and Bears have to prep for a gimmick offense, both on a short week. Anyone know about Jake Long? I hear he is iffy. That could be a real problem....who's going to start opposite Julius Peppers? Miami is going to pretty much run the wildcat. But I think the Bears are familiar enough and are awfully good against the run with solid tacklers. Bears are 2nd in NFL vs. the run. Though I think the secondary can be fooled if Miami is very tricky. I don't think you can beat the Bears D without passing the ball.Comment -
