wouldn't bet on it...those two cities I mentioned above where both ranked in the top 5 for crime rate per population in the country, they aren't the best cities to live in. If I had to pick I would take Springy over Flint because at least its a college town and downtown can be a pretty good time if you go to the right places.

My parents live in smallish city in Oklahoma (~30k people) in a middle class neighborhood and the guy across the street just got busted for dealing meth...

Obviously there is crime everywhere but meth is pretty big problem here right now... I know several people from high school that you wouldn't have expected to have drug problems that are hooked on that shit...
