    Do you really believe that!?

If anything, the NFL wanted ratings. Joe public loves teams that light up the scoreboard.

With everything that has happened to Tony D, I hated to see him lose.

I'm going with the theory that they thought the Colts would give them better ratings.

This is all the more reason that someone should investigate. I mean there are not one in 1,000 Pop Warner refs that would blow that call.

Of course, the Colts were the golden team this year. They got the great story (not to be harsh) with Dungy and his dead son, Payton Manning, who has been on fire the last two years. It gives them a team with national appeal.

Don't be surprised if the refs hand the game to Pitt this week if they are certain that SEA will win the other game. The NFL does NOT want a SEA/DEN superbowl. There is no east coast team in that matchup. The Steelers travel very well, as most observant people should know, and gives the NFL its east coast team, Bettis in his probable final season playing in the SB in his hometown, etc.

The bastards in the NFL offices are probably doing studies on the potential SB matchups and figuring out which would will result in the most revenue, and then on Sunday, you will see what conclusion they drew by how the game is officiated.

I'm not going to buy into the conspiracy theory that the game(s) are intentionaly fixed by manipulating bad calls. What I do buy into is the fact that there are alot of stupid people out there in all walks of life, including referees. after seeing what I did in the Michigan-Nebraska game and some of the calls made in the NFL, I truly believe that some referees are just dumb.

I think NFL refs are confused by what should and shouldn't be overturned. the terms 'indisputable evidence' and 'football moves' leave some room for judgment on the part of the ref. 'Indisputable evidence should mean that there is NO DOUBT the call was wrong and it should be overturned. Polamalu's INT replay was not indisputable until they got into the business of a 'football move' (which the NFL later admitted should not have even been a factor on this play, thus giving creedence to my stupid people theory).

but beyond that play, there have been other instances where replay has overturned the correct call. I recall a Detroit-Tampa Bay game this year in which Pollard caught a TD with 10 seconds left and it was ruled a good catch. It was later reversed by replay on video which clearly was not conclusive in either direction, which should have led to the play being upheld. Instead a not-so-bright ref said he THOUGHT Pollard was OB and overruled the call, when what he thought should never have entered the equation. The video needed to show indisputable evidence which in my mind says 10 people could look at it and all get the same conclusion. The referees need to ask themselves this before overturning a call.

Where the hell was Ed Hochuli this weekend? That guy is buff and doesn't mess around...he is bigger than half of the NFL players hahahaha. Actually I rarely see him blow any calls either or at least of this magnitude.

Man you are right on Ed Hochuli. Do you remember when he first started? He was just an average joe.

I would hate to have to arm wrestle ole Ed!
