I got $80 free chips from Choctaw casino - how to use it?

I got 2 emails from them for the holidays, $40 free chips this Thursday and $40 this Friday (Dec 21-22), I can drive after the kids go to sleep, arrive 23:40pm-ish, grab the $40, then wait 15-20 minutes and grab the other $40.

$80 free play chips, is it worth the drive from North Dallas? (about 1 hour drive using the 75 road)

If I do that, how would you play free $80 chips? $40 red, $40 black or that's an abuse? Also is it worth the drive to grab $40 cash? nah, right?

So how would you play the chips? $80 on red/black, either go broke or go with $80 cash?

The house edge will be lower if you play them normally at a low edge game like baccarat. Whether or not it's worth it to you depends on how much you want $39ish of +EV.

    go with the "destiny" mindset.

take $80 to bet with and the $80 fp

put the whole fp on one spin or hand

win you got 240 and that's not bad
lose you dig in with 80 and leech drinks

Closed your account and walk away. And then drive the nearest casino.

    Walk away (from the casino?)
Then drive to the nearest casino?

Sorry, started drinking too early. You should go to the bank and get some money (trying to be funny and meant to say empty out your bank account). Ah, forget about it. I am a drunk and rambling about nothing. I got Old Bill syndrome.

Get those chips and good luck!

    Thanks,

Now let me ask you, what do you like more? Red or Black?

$40 an hour to drive late at night to a casino - I’d pass myself.

Now if I happened to be close or just going anyway for fun - it’s worth taking. Flip it at whatever table game you like - if you win - pocket your “winnings” and have another go. Keep doing this till you bust. Or maybe pocket $50 to start - play $30 and then press it a time or 2 if you win before pulling back half.

It’s all about money management - long term casino play is a loser - but when you can take advantage of promotions and other people’s stupidity - I’m all for it.

This reminds me - local casino keeps sending me $100 free play or free sports wager in person. Again - an hours drive (into Cleveland at that) for $100 just doesn’t interest me. By the time I get there - park - check in for my free bet - play - get parking validation and leave - I’m in it for 4 hours of my life minimum. If someone called me saying they want to hire me for $25/hour on my day off and jobs downtown - I’d laugh. Treat casinos the same way - if you wouldn’t take a job for what they are offering - don’t take their promos.

I actually want this drive so badly, I want to feel disconnected for a 1 hour drive and there are some podcasts I'd very much like to listen to on the way there so I enjoy it, I enjoy the drive when I can listen to these podcasts that otherwise I won't listen to at all.

By the way here in Texas/Oklahoma you just park and go there, 1 minute walk, tons of parking, I mean tons, just park anywhere you like... checking in for a free bet takes seconds, and so is the play, I can be in and out in 5-10 minutes if I want to but I'd try to plan it better so it won't be a bad thing.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts though.
It does sound like over where you are (and generally in the East Coast) - it's much more difficult to find parking and it's aggravating, Texas/Oklahoma are so different in regards to that.

Go big or go home I say

40 on black and let it ride 5 times.

Go home with $1280 or nothing!

Okay, so I was digging a bit online and I found this strategy which seems like a nice one to try with free chips:

    https://www.jackace.com/gambling/rou...4-DTF-Revised/

I even tried online with a few bucks and it went well.

Basically, if I get $80 free chips, I do as follows:

    1) Bet $30 on 1 to 12
    2) Bet $30 on 25 to 36
    3) Bet $20 on the middle numbers 16-17-18-19-20-21

That means that I risk the casino chips on more numbers (better odds than just black or white) and only if the roulette gets 0, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 or 24 - then I lose, otherwise I win $90 in CASH (not in free chips) and it could even be $100 if it lands on 16-17-18-19-20-21....

    What do you think?

I think you are a grinder asking a bunch of gamblers how to minimize risk, when most gamblers would be thinking about maximizing profit.

Strategy sounds boring to me. But it appears to make logical sense.

Buy a couple day old casino hotdogs and chips and play 1$ Keno until the 80 bucks run out. Then go home with an upset stomach and broke.

    Reset and restart tomorrow!

Take the free cash which is guaranteed.

Not too many things are guaranteed in gambling.

I get $210 free plays or comp dollars 5 times a week. I always take comp dollars which is 100% win rate.

Even after eating at whichever restaurant I want when I'm bored of eating in the player lounge for free, I still have $4,960 comp dollars left. My younger brother and his wife are going to Vegas next week for 5 days, so I told him to use the comp dollars to eat at Caesars Baccahnal buffet everyday and that buffet costs $80 to $85 per person for dinner.

They do have Kosher hotdogs.. Hebrew National brand but you won't find those in a Casino spinning, old and greasy on the spindle.

I guess you lose out on the gut wrenching hotdogs and chips then.

Good friend. That buffet beats most alacarte restaurants.
