Instead of going for it, they kick a field goal
The reasoning kind of makes sense because the onside kick is actually converting a 4th and 12 (from their own 33)
Although if they convert it, the net result would be about 40 yards of lost field position so maybe not worth it
BUT part of the reason I think they did it is because they didn't have any timeouts left and this gave them time to draw up a play
Anyway, they converted the onside try because of a NJ PI but couldn't score a TD
