Interesting Heat / Nuggets Betting Strategy
When a team loses & fails to cover game 1 they are 1-4 SU & 1-3-1 ATS the last 5 years

Is this strictly for underdogs ?

Just this year Celtics (against Sixers) and Warriors (against Lakers) are two instances of teams that lost and failed to cover game 1 but they both won and covered game 2

Also seems like there should be more cases if we're talking last 5 years

    Suns against Nuggets
    Twolves against Nuggets
    Hawks against Celtics
Warriors against Kings (Warriors were favoured Game 2)

Those are 4 just from this years playoffs

Those 4 do also fit the trend

Wasn't the 1 win just last year? Warriors lost game 1 right?

Even before this tidbit, it has always been Denver.

I don't know if I could trust a 5 game trend. Need at least 100 games to see if it holds.

When a team loses and fails to cover game 1 they are 0-30 the last 30 years.

Is that a real stat, or sarcasm?

Well it's real... If you lose and fail to cover any game, how can you be anything but 0-1 both ATS and straight up?

You could do it for a hundred years, doesn't matter.

                        Oh Duh.

At least I got that it was supposed to be funny I suppose.

I wouldn't say it was supposed to be funny, it mirrored the OP's post.

It didn't say anything about "the following game" nor did it express that the trend was specific to the Finals.
