It's possible

Miami hasn't handled playing too well at Denver in the regular season in recent years though.

0-5 SU and ATS in last 5 at Denver with average margin of defeat of 15 points. (Bubble game not counted)

But stakes are obviously much higher here so maybe means nothing

Good point. I had overlooked this (in my own private analysis!). No chance for them to climatize either. Like you say it mightn't mean much at this point.

The "It's possible" part is with respect to the reasoning he gave as in "Yes, it's possible the rust factor and the time off benefiting Miami more is what ultimately makes the difference in turning the 50-50 proposition into a 54-46 in favour of Miami +9"

looking at season +post play denver wins by an average of 4-5 points. Miami is lets say better than the average team.. Of the 8 categories that make the offensive/defensive stats denver stands out in 1. Model showing a 6 point advtg to denver, one would have to think +9 is a good# or value play.

the last 20y when miami went to denver it was probably just for a night or even off a B2B so they never had a chance to Climatize.
