    Quadruple Sweep Odds?
What would the odds have been for a 4 team parlay with each team to sweep for Fla, Mia, Denv, and Vegas? Let's say the obvious $100 bet? Anyone got the Math?

Do you think someone bet it out there? Wow. I was going to say it would be like hitting the lottery too.

1 MLB team has ever come back down 3-0 - 04 Boston over Yanks ALCS
0 NBA teams have ever come back down 3-0
4 NHL teams have ever come back down 3-0 - 42 Stanley Cup finals Toronto over Detroit, 75 Islanders over Pitt quarters, 2010 Flyers over Boston quarters, 14 Kings over Sharks 1st round

Basically, getting down 3-0 is a death nail. The historical % has to be 1/10 of 1% of all series or even in the hundredths of a %. So, the odds are horrible to bet a team at the plus number they provide considering the history they should offer far more.

              A $100 bet at 889-1 odds would pay $88,900.

If it was +1000 to sweep each series ( which sounds too small to me anyway)

Then the odds would be +1364100 (13641/1)

                So $100 would pay 1.36mil

avg odds of +1700ish would result in 9 million
                .

                    Snippet from The Athletic:

                    The Celtics ruin Sweepmas

Just as we convinced ourselves that four NBA/NHL sweeps at once was actually a good and fun thing, the Boston Celtics had to go and try. A night after the Lakers bowed out, Jayson Tatum declared himself a Pulse Hater by being, humbly, really good at basketball.

The Celtics had every chance to roll over last night. They trailed at halftime. The flights to Cabo were all but booked. A third-quarter blitz changed everything, and Boston heads home down 3-1 after a 116-99 win, with a glimmer of hope to do something no NBA team has ever done: win a series after going down 3-0.

Tatum had 33 points, and five other Celtics were in double figures. It’s almost frustrating to see last night’s performance, even as an objective observer, because this is who the Celtics can be. It’s not completely implausible to see this team winning four straight, if coaching and chemistry stop ailing them.

If we can’t have Sweepmas, maybe we’ll see history, or at least a competitive series. Maybe.
