    Sad day for Athletic/Brewer fans
Sal Bando, who won three World Series titles and was a four-time All-Star with the A's before joining the Brewers, where he later became GM, has died at 78.

I met Sal a few times. I can say that he was hugely respected.

Retired year before the Brewers went to the World Series in 1982.

Will remember him as a key player on the Athletic championship teams. RIP, Sal.

Awesome, Digg. 3rd base is a tough position, Sal was good.

I'll forever think about those A's teams as the Mustache Men.

That's awesome, Mac. Those were two great teams.
