    Anyone heard of Prizepicks?

Not sure if I got all of this correct since I haven't signed up yet to take a look at the site app, but Its supposed to be a daily fantasy sports site that is kind of like a sportsbook because it is about betting on player props of up to 2 to 4 individual stat lines where I believe your picks go up against the house set line for that prop instead of going up against other customers in a contest like in traditional daily fantasy sites like Draftkings where your picking players/lineups at each position instead of player props to go up against other players to see if your score is high enough to come away with some cash.

It's legal in 30 states, DC, and Canada. I'm not sure what the juice is like. It might be a killer, but this is interesting to take a look at if you are interested in betting player props and want to do it in a legal market where your state might not have legal sportsbetting yet but playing at a DFS site like this is.

PrizePicks is more like betting props than DFS. The difference is PrizePicks asks players to pick the over/under on fantasy points rather than the stat line. It’s sort of a combination of prop betting and DFS using DFS stats.

PrizePicks ask contest entrants to choose between two to four players and the over/under on their projected fantasy score. Payouts are up to 10 times the entry fee, depending on the number of picks. PrizePicks offers contests for a variety of sports, including the four major US leagues.

    DFS VS. SPORTS BETTING

There has always been a fine line between DFS and sports betting. Some say DFS is another way to “bet” on sports. Others suggest the ability to put together lineups filled with the top-performing athletes over a short time under a salary cap is a unique skill.

DFS proponents say it’s not gambling. And DFS is most certainly not single-game wagering. Instead, DFS players bet on the statistical performance of individual athletes, which is something sportsbooks let you do through props.

Betting on one team to win a game over another remains the exclusive territory of legal sportsbooks. And, that’s the main difference between DFS and sports betting.

Of course, DFS sites like PrizePicks have blurred these lines slightly, allowing players to essentially bet over/unders on props they may also find at a legal sportsbook.

Yes I dabble in Prize Picks for fun. It's a game where you can make anywhere from 2-5 selections on o/u props and you can do same sport parlays or combine sports it's all up to you. You are able to win 10x your money and if you do "flex" plays instead of "power" plays you can miss 1 or 2 and still win some money. Obviously if you want to win the most money possible then do power plays but if you miss one you lose just like betting a parlay at a sportsbook. It's a fun way to have action on a game and make some money at the same time. Perhaps the best thing about Prize Picks is they have mostly every sport you can think of kind of like DFS but its props in those sports which makes it easier because you're not trying to beat anybody but the house.

That’s what I liked about the concept after looking at it. Only having to worry about 2-5 props going against the house instead of worrying about going up against so many other people in a contest on a traditional DFS site where I have to pick like 10 or so guys and hope they all do well so I can score high enough to cash.

It's fun I'd recommend it. This past weekend I hit a 3 leg UFC parlay but of course I made it a flex play so I only won 2.25X my money but it was still better than I did at DFS for UFC 281. One thing about the lines that you'll notice is they fluctuate so it pays to bet them as soon as they come out because they move like at the sportsbooks. Even though there's no juice you can bet into a line that has moved a lot between when it opened and when it gets closer to the event starting.

I believe it’s actually just for individual stats just like a Sportsbook offers a prop bet so there could be a bet/prop offered Brady passing yards and you would bet the over or under whatever the line was set at.

You can bet Tom Brady o/u fantasy points scored but it's by their scoring system. They have that for every sport so for example if Brady is set at 22.5 you would bet either more or less and he'd have to score 23 fantasy points for the over to hit obviously.

o so its based on points and not stats. Not sure I like it but still nice that its a difference concept.

It seems a little different, but you gotta get used to it. I might try it.

Fantasy score is one of the things you can pick an over or under on. They set a score for players in the game and you pick either over or under. The other categories are based on their stats but if you choose fantasy score then they have to go over or under the fantasy score that Prize Picks assigns to them. For example, if Tom Brady's target score is 22.5 then he has to get 23 fantasy points if you pick over. They have a scoring system that might be different from what your used to so I'd make sure I read the rules they have for each sport before choosing fantasy score as one of my props for my card.

It's a legit site. Minimum deposit is $25. I'm terrible at it. Make sure to look for the lineups as they put players that are questionable to play. They also give you a free piece. Usually on Tuesdays, example LeBron O4 Points. I wish for baseball they would have more options, you can't pick just any player, it's somewhat limited.
