I expect Jurkovec to miss for BC. The line move is often a tell.

Orchestrated a great rally last week. I sort of thought they'd shut down Haener for remainder of year. He must be feeling good to suit up and risk injury.

Should be a safe bet. Game is in Fresno compared to last year when we lost in Hawaii. And defensive captain Evan Williams is back.

Chucky... unless there was no opening line on the game... it's a concern. If Vegas already gave out an opening line (knowing of a key injury)... then IMO they know more than us if the athlete will play or not... Media can hype what they think will happen... but typically Vegas knows what WILL HAPPEN. That's why I never factor in injury reports... already configured in the line.

Shot, I very much agree w/ your stance. It's almost like it works in reverse for me:

*The Injury Reports in 2022 are terrible. And the coaches don't want to give away a thing. Why give tell the opposing coach which QB to prepare for?

*Flip-side is exactly what you say. The Injury news (whether OUT or Doubtful) is baked into the #.

Funny thing is that the market-line almost tells me who is going to play. As if SOMEBODY knows.

Example: the Fresno line moved so much last week...that it had to be Heaner playing. That, or they put up a bad #. And they NEVER do that.

Two notes on the QBs listed:

*Navy: Lavatai. His absence would bother me as much as anyone else on the list. Has played a lot of games. Option-running is a lot of repetition. I can't imagine the replacement will feel nearly as prepared. Would have given Navy a long look as Dog at Cincy. Without Lavatai, harder to back...and the line value doesn't look good.

*James Mad: Centaio. Won't say this is "inside info"...b/c game looks like it's priced for him to not play. He was key to JMU early season run. He transferred from bigger schools. Have a source that tole me he got into an accident...which is a little different than the "un-disclosed" status.

No denying New Mexico is a bad team. Maybe respectable on defense, downright pitiful on offense. But this is a play against Utah State. The Aggies program is in disarray. The AD has resigned and head coach Anderson just got sued by a former player. "Obviously we're dealing with a tremendous amount of distractions" is the quote from the coach, and he's sure not kidding. As for the on the field stuff, Utah State still has question marks at QB due to injury issues and they're simply not worthy of being this much chalk against almost anyone. Home field at Logan is usually pretty substantial but with the current turmoil I don't think it's quite as meaningful here. Tough backing this Lobos crew but they're the only way I can play here. Won't make it a huge play but I'll play mid-level on New Mexico.
