What a country! Do it like Ed. When do you want me to leave and what door?

Do, they have another 15 million to get a new coach? Maybe, 25 million?

I had this one dead wrong. I thought this guy was a decent hire. Did an OK job last year, but why they ran Bo Nix out of town with only bad options behind him was insane. And his in-game management was atrocious, which showed this year.

These college ADs are so stupid with these buyouts. Here's an idea when you hire some young coach from Boise State. "OK, son, 4-year contract to coach here at Auburn, with a $1 million buyout."

                "I'll take it!"

Do these dumb ADs think any of these coaches are going to turn down jobs with low buyouts?

The buyout clause for Harsin was for 70% of the remaining money of his deal at the time he is fired.

It's more th $15 million now, half to be paid within 30 days and half to paid in installments.

Malzan with a similar deal with with more than $21 million. Half of that was paid and there are still paying close to $2.7 million per year for 4 years.

                  In total...

wonder what lincoln riley's buyout is? his agent should have demanded 5 years minimum or pay riley $250,000,000.
one day the "hot coach" is going to be owed a billion dollar buyout from some "automatic teller machine" university

                        Nope.

Allen Greene resigned and they've already replaced him with the highly respected John Cohen who came from Mississippi St.

Cohen will get 1.5 million/year for 5 years. Greene made about $625,000.

Cohen has one helluva resume and the respect of virtually everyone in the business.

Auburn could see some success there.
