Cleveland has the better overall team. Everyone down on Brissett, but as long as he can hand the ball off and make the occasional throws he will be fine. Cleveland had a great system on offense. I trust Browns defense more than Carolina.Comment -

the thing is... Jacoby can manage a game fine. but once the defense has him figured out he will struggle if he is forced to make big throws again and again on 3rd and medium to longs... they gotta keep the ground game going etc to keep the downs and distances manageable
if he's still the jacoby i remember from 2019 he will be scanning the field forever... and when he decides to take off running it's almost always too late and he thinks he's faster than he is and he gets caught quickly
but we'll see... the team around him could dominate and put him in awesome positions and browns win by 14+Comment -

Baker is exactly who we thought he is. A very inconsistent starting QB. He'll frustrate the hell out of you then have you cheering your heart out. In the end, too many wasted plays. He had like 5 balls batted down, 4 fumbles, one horrible interception, several under and over throws. He then found guys wide open when the Browns defense went to sleep. Baker in that first half was horrible but he looked great in the 2nd half. That's his MO. I'm just glad he's no longer a Brown, even though Jacoby is just as bad, actually worse but won't hurt you with so many negative plays.Comment -

We could start a yearly thread on how many games are impacted by these roughing the passer calls in the final minutes. There must have been 10 games last year heavily impacted by BS calls. I'll never understand why the refs don't just not call that penalty in the final 2 minutes. Reason being, they are clearly wrong just about every time.
