24-14 Als at the half
Bo Levi Mitchell's struggles from last season continuing so far
Stamps have a very good backup QB (many think he's better than Mitchell) - wonder if we'll see him in the 2nd Half?

Orby, tell me the CFL isn't a good product. Used to follow CFL closely. Ask my boy Jay Vegas.
Your information is good. Mitchell isn't THAT old (32). Might be hard to bench a guy who has won two MVPs and two Grey Cups.
Orby, when you watch CFL, I see one rule change that should be applied to the NFL. It's the WIDTH of the field. I think the wider field would reduce the # of vicious hits that take place btw the hashes.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Jake Maier the backup - Played great last season in fill-in when Bo was out. Came thru again tonight! So glad this league is back to its regular spot on the schedule - First June game in 3 years!

CFL was really bad last season on the abbreviated schedule and the season before that was canceled, so i guess i got more excited for this year
with CFL there's so much roster turnover each season, so i'll try to watch as many games as possible at least early on because the eye test becomes that much more important
true, Bo Levi isn't that old but he had a bad injury and has been regressing since. they ended up bringing his backup Maier in towards the end tonight and he was good enough to get them the win. from the preseason blogs and fans' comments i read, this move didn't surprise me but i would've had no idea otherwise about their QB situation
yeah, width of NFL field has always been an issue. correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe all current NFL stadiums have been designed for potential future widening to be possible?

I didn't know that. Just my observation from observing NFL over time. NFL is 100 years old. Size of the average player has gone up DRAMATICALLY over that time.
There's just so much space on the field. Wider, thicker, strong bodies...only logical to open up the space proportionately.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

much better players in the usfl. most were drafted and in nfl camps. cfl limits amount of usa players. usfl is a great bridge between college and nfl. i can see old nfl quarterbacks going there soon for a last shot. Cam Newton and Baker Mayfield would be candidates. they have endorsements that let them afford it. Phillip Rivers would be a premiere qb there.
