it's rigged and he prob said he would go along with it but refused to be the guy who looked like an idiot running right into donald on purpose instead of cutting to the left where there were perfect blocks and no rams defenders in sight to stop him short

same for 4th down... why didn't perine try to catch it? u know why...they all go along with the script cause nfl is entertainment and they all getting paid regardless but i bet some guys refuse to be the guy who "blew it"

After Burrow twisted his knee on that one sack.... he looked different... wasn't the same. You could tell they were running the ball more and doing short screen dump offs. The final drive... yeah... lucky break to get the ball to their WR for a significant gain.... but that ball was late getting there.

Knowing all of this... you run it both times 3rd and 1...and 4th and 1. But they didn't.

That was Darrel Bevel's call 100 percent. Pete didn't even know what play he was running. He trusted his OC.

Pete took the blame after the game because he can't tell the truth and say "it was the OC's call" because it makes him look even worse to not know what play is being called on the goal line of the Super Bowl with 25 seconds left. Pete is DC by trade. He left the offense to Bevel.

Bad call not because it didn't work but because it wasn't 4th down and the Hawks and the Beast had beat them into submission. The coaches are also a team and have to discuss.
One more run and then get tricky......always up for discussion but 3rd down from the 1 yard line ?????????????????????????????????

It was less then the one yard line it was the half yard line and lynch just got them up field to even for a second think that boy wouldn’t have gotten in for a touchdown is insane. That essentially destroyed a dynasty

If you re watch the ending of that Super Bowl it’s near impossible to believe it’s not a scam…. That route on that play was insane and basically left butler wide open for the interception…..they had 3 tries at the half yard line and refused to give the ball to the leading rusher that year wanna know why? Because if you all remember he refused to talk to the media you can’t have a Super Bowl mvp like that it was all about that

I refused to believe that coaches with as much experience and knowledge of the game continue to make the same dumb mistakes game in and game out. There’s more to this, but I don’t think every player is in on it. I feel like you can rig a game pretty easily as long as the two play callers, coach and quarterback are in on it.
Now the question always comes down to why would someone agree if you are the qb to not try and win? I mean I think it’s simple, these guys are replaceable and if you don’t obey you can be out of the league as quickly as you came in. Call plays so you fail, call offensive line formations that lead you to get smashed to pieces, etc. Then could you speak out? Sure probably could but they’ll call you disgruntled and they’ll belittle your talent and it won’t stick. Also you’ll be broke and not make 20 million a year.
The nfl has taken over as the dirtiest game and that’s why for the longest time they fought against gambling because they were worried that it would be too easy to see how rigged their game is if gambling was a public acceptable practice. Then over the last year and half they saw how dumb our society is and thought they didn’t have to worry any more plus I do think they needed the ratings too.

You can make a case the Rams did something stupid, not as stupid as Seattle, in their final drive. From the 1, Stafford throws the fade for a TD. What if that got tipped and picked? Yes, the Rams were running the ball poorly but from the 1 yard line throwing a fade on 2nd down is pretty crazy. But they all do it.

Of course your interception risk there is pretty low because it's a fade. Seattle ran a slant into the middle of the field with defenders everywhere.
