The book technology is even getting better go ask executives they said they can’t have winning players or they lose their jobs
Depends on definition of "living". 40-50k a year after taxes on $3k unit isn't impossible. $120k on $500 is another story...

Its a "Woe is me" world for JJ..
There is some truth to that. Having a presence in Vegas and being on the rolodex of book managers will help.
Those of us that have been in and built a business and made contacts over the last few decades have been ahead of these controls.
The biggest difference over the last few years is that you don't just need Vegas, there are other areas.
Like NJ.
The main hub hasn't shifted, it has grown. If you understand it that way, then you will be able to navigate the risk management.
If you are smart and disciplined you can pickup a few units a month. Variance means you will have runs where you are on top of the World and others where you want to crawl into a dark hole and die. There are far easier ways to make a decent living.
This is not new at all, this has been happening for a very long time.
You can use this to your advantage. I start, and only start, to get into this in the video I made when I talk about growing wide in sportsbetting.
Every time I place a bet I see my license on the labtop in the back even though I refused for a long time to give players card. Then I’d go to the kiosk manager would see me run to back to get on lab top I have no doubt what was going on that being said I’m lazy don’t really like driving to casino so just stay off shore but it’s funny the few bets I did place in person were fairly large and they didn’t all win I was just harassed to no end to have a players card because they wanted to give me a comp

It's the mathematics of the situation.
I don't think very many understand that picking winners is the easy part.
It's how the money is managed that seperates those who want to go deep in the industry from the rest.

Exactly Al, and it can be a very hard job for those trying to get into it.
That's why I suggested in the at video that most just make it part time, as another source of income. There's less pressure and less of a financial deadline for the bettor.
These things are important to keep the emotions caused by financial stress from short circuiting rational thinking.
