Best kicker of all time and he beat the NFL record by 2 yards. It's amazing really when you consider that a lot of kickers cost their teams games week in and week out but Tucker is as consistent as they come.

As of now, it is most likely the TV Broadcast clock was not exactly timed to the actual Field Clock used by the Back Judge who determined if the ball is put in play on time. The Back Judge according to his clock said it was. The Referee's whistle starts the Field Clock countdown.

Maybe the NFL will investigate and put out an official review this week. The presented time discreapancy between TV Broadcast clock and apparent hiking of the ball (1.6 seconds) was not egregious enough to make this a big controversy. TV Broadcast clock has zero relevance and isn't even part of the rules. There is still no answer as to how and IF the broadcast clock and field clock are perfectly synchronized. I don't think that will happen because it would take authority away from the referees on game flow.
