I don't know, after he does a few "stiff arms" and his stub pokes out a few defenders eyeballs, he will become even more devastating

Not good comparisons

Abbot was a pitcher. Pitchers rarely field the ball and when they do they generally don't need to throw quickly. He could have never played 2nd or SS in the majors.

Pierre Paul basically lost the use of two fingers, so he can still use that hand, and as a defensive player catching ability is much less of an issue.

My guess is his team, like many high school teams, is run heavy so checkdowns and pass protection/blitz pickups are a non issue. He would be a huge liability on a college team, much less in the NFL. Just try to imagine what and NFL defense would do to a team with a RB who doesn't need to be defended on checkdowns and has a glaring weakness blocking on his handicapped side.

He seems like a good kid but I don't see it.

the overall point is overcoming limitations humans make do. Id be willing to bet he can catch a football. obviously he receives handoffs with no problem. until we actually saw abbott in action hearing about him we couldnt imagine such until we saw it. look at ben simmons cant shoot but can get a 177 mil contract for a sport where scoring is required to win just imagine if he had 4 hands and wasnt limited to only 2 lol

I'm sure he can manage to catch a football. I'm sure he knows something about blocking. But those 2 receptions were his only 2 in his whole career and I'd bet they were a shovel passes or a pitch that was slightly forward or something.

Those NFL rushers have spent years learning how to elude blockers and get to the QB. Someone with one hand would be like taking candy from a baby to them. Then add to that he's no threat for checkdown passes and you're giving NFL defenses basically an extra man advantage in the secondary. Not going to work. Maybe a goal line specialist and that’s it.
