Coinbase ridiculously low $1000 daily limits to fund the account and the fees are ridiculous. When i was in canada, i used shakepay and there was barely any fees. Limits were much higher.

Is there anything better than coinbase for americans?

That is incorrect. My coinbase just let me buy $4,000 in bitcoin and I have a $7,500 limit with my debit card or $35,000 limit with my Bank account.

I droppped 15k in to coinbase on Sept 1 and it says it wont be available for transfer until tomorrow. Using it to fund Heritage. Charged me $220 and came from a linked bank account that took a couple days as well. Of course, BTC took a hit right after my transfer and the $15k is now worth $14k....

Coinbase can be used as a wallet but technically it's an exchange, just like Crypto.com, Gemini, Kraken, Bittrex, etc. Most all legit US exchanges have to go through verifications, the ACH on deposits, wait and hold times on cash and coins. Coinbase fees are some of the highest out there.

Why would anyone use Coinbase when Coinbase Pro (GDAX prior to rebranding) is much cheaper? ACH funds are free and instantly available for trading. Deposit, buy, withdraw. Easy peasy.

Remember when GDAX was free with limit orders? Ahh the good ole days.

I use the Blockchain wallet. Been around forever.
