Yes league generates tons of money, players negotiated a bigger cut of money several years ago back around the time of the Mike Conley deal with the grizzlies in like 2015 so as time marches on and things unfold, we’re better seeing every year how much money these teams actually have, and guys like rozier getting insane contracts. But if you ask moronic drag queens on this forum like carolinakid about the state of American sports he’ll tell you BLM is destroying everything and no one cares or watches NBA anymore and NFL is trash and American basketball is dead

No different than the Mike Conley contract a few years ago. Average players making big bank. When Conley signed I don’t think he had yet made an all star game.

NBA is the hardest professional league in the world. You have to 1 of what 350 guys in the whole world with population of 7 billion.

Easier to be a brain surgeon.

    CEOs make way more money

A lot of people have been saying the NBA; and if you look at it mathematically in regards to worlds population vs. roster size then yes, the NBA is the hardest. Hockey, baseball, soccer and basketball are all global sports. However, when you start to look at the NBA you take into consideration that height has its advantages. The average height of an NBA player is 6′6″, so when we start to look at height and the pool available for average or just below average potential NBA players you start to see a change in the ratio in regards to roster size vs. population

Denmark has, on average, the tallest male population in the world at 5′9″. Basically, less than 1% of the world's population is over 6′4″, which still leaves us with around 760 million people globally.

NHL, MLB, FIFA average height = 6′1″; NFL is 6′2″. These heights account for about 5% of the global population. That leaves about 1.5 billion people available globally -more than double for basketball.

So, if we make an adjustment and double the NBA roster to 30 to match the population available in regards to height in the global population.

League Total number of roster spots leaguewide

    NHL 713

    FIFA 736

    MLB 750

    NBA 900* adjusted

    Now you can play with numbers as you like in regards to athletic ability, birth origin, number of players globally, socio-economic background, etc;

In conclusion if you are over 6′4″ the NBA seems to be the ‘easiest’ ; however if you are not a freak of nature and just a little bit above average in height; I would say the NHL is the hardest. But in all reality reaching the Show in any league is near impossible; with only 2,650 available roster spot available and 760 billion people on the planet people have less than .01% chance of a male making it to the NFL, NBA, MLB, or a FIFA World Cup team at birth.

P.S. found this little stat while searching

A “study indicates that out of 7.25 billion people in the world, 2,800 are seven feet tall or better. That’s one in every 1.6 million people. Of the 185,421 players listed on a high school sports website, 40 were seven feet or taller. That’s one in every 4,635 high school players.”

I don't care how much $$$ there is

THIS is one of the worst contracts
I've ever seen . You couldn't convince me
otherwise, so don't even waste your time.

I'm 6 feet 1 inches vertically and been watching this
sports since my dad's friend Steve Gieselman had satellite before most people did way back in the 1980's .

Terro Rozier is not worth this ,plus I'm 73 inches tall
Any argument you bring forth will be invalid

but the money standards have changed that must be something youre forgetting. forget the old scales. there is more money now so this isnt a bad signing in that regard. I get it, that much money blows people's minds but again the scales have changed. Paul is making almost double. Rozier is more than worth half a chris paul Id say. even though that may not be the best way to look at it. 20/4/4 a game and about 40% from 3 also plays good defense.

NBA is like the mortgage collapse of '08

Tons of money getting thrown around based on a doomed model. So much of this money coming from cable deals paid for by people who never watch the NBA all the while less and less people are paying for cable subscriptions.

If and when the NBA goes Fannie Mae I will be right alongside the horned helmet guy if they try to bail out that kneelers league

What cracks me up is the salary difference from the NBA to the NHL lol It's really sad. And both leagues play 82 games a year. Unreal.

They were saying Schroeder an idiot for passing up 4 year 84 million he still could get it back later guys like Rozier and Ball are not better than him not to mention old contracts like Biyombo getting 18 million in a lower paid era.

He was paid based off his potential going forward. Not off his stats. The Hornets were smart (surprisingly) and the Celtics really missed him last year with all their injuries.

They both are 27 Rozier a good scorer but kind of undersized if playing him off the ball.
