Lol he will not go to EPL obviously. That is way out of his comfort zone. He will go to the semi amateur league Ligue 1 in France. His style doesn't suit EPL at all, Ligue 1 is a cake walk plus the Arabs will pay just as good if not more.

This opens the gates for Mbappe to Real Madrid.

Well he is 34. How many stars go to EPL at that age? Yes the french Ligue is easy but Im more interested in the champions league and how psg will do in that. PSG was pretty much the ONLY place he could go to that made sense.

Doesn't matter. At 24 Messi still wouldn't have done too well in EPL. It's not because he is not good enough for EPL but the way of football is played over there doesn't suit Messi at all.

I personally don't think PSG will achieve much different results in CL.

But while it is not on him alone, if he really wanted to stay at Barca he could have. Barcelona would have been able to somehow figure a way out with the finances. Send 2 of Coutinho, Dembele and Griezmann on loan with the loaner paying their salaries and you have enough room to stay at Barca if you are also willing to take a pay cut.

Messi simply didn't want to take a pay cut. If he had agreed, Barca would have loaned Griezmann back to Atletico and Dembele to PSG, Milan or Inter. Also send Countinho on loan and pay half his salary, sell Umtiti and you can easily keep Messi. But Messi didn't want to. So all those tears at the press conference were utter bullshit. He chose money that's it. I don't blame him, nor do I care, but stop with the bullshit tears and fake speech.
