Incredible comeback. Not the ending he wanted in the playoffs, but the positive story of how he was even able to play again is a win

Wow, with such an amazing comeback, I was hoping his on field story could continue.

              Best of Luck to Smith.

Forget what he went through since the major leg injury, he always played with a lot of heart regardless of the results. Add in all he went through to not have his leg amputated and rigorous rehab, unbelievable really against steep odds. I would think he would transition into a good coaching career if he wishes

Always good, just didn’t have that extra gear the great ones have. Never great and always just never one of the best or the one too lift his play in big game situations. Great and long career.

Not worth the risk of losing his leg

I sort of ruled that out when he played to begin with.

If he had risk of losing his leg at any higher rate than before, I don't think they would clear him to play.

Sometimes it's not up to the player.

Doctor's and insurance policies make decisions too.

But I don't have any info on Smith's case, except that he did play in a NFL game.

He was going to get broken in half the handful of games he played. This is the best possible scenario for all involved.
