no replay was needed

the ump was already ringing him up for the obvious 3rd strike, before he had a brain fart. he just messed the rules up. you can can strike 3 and Conforto's out, even if he got hit.

or you can call it a ball just for not making an effort to get out of the way

either way, he should have been out, and no replay would be needed
