Cubs minor leaguer Jesus Camargo charged with possession of 21 pounds of meth

    https://sports.yahoo.com/cubs-prospe...184732786.html

That's a lot of meth. But meth is cheap in the streets. That should get the whole team high for 2 weeks.

He knew his days were numbered in the farm system, but why attempt to speed & drive recklessly when you have that kind of weight on you, unreal

Must be a Mexican thing. This guy, I'm guessing was a broke Minor Leaguer going nowhere so I can't really blame him. Esteban Loaiza however totally different story.

This is what happens when you cancel the minor league season. These guys have too much time on their hands.

According to reports, local authorities pulled Camargo over for speeding and drifting in and out of lanes

Camargo, 25, signed with the Cubs as an international free agent out of Sinaloa, Mexico

That's the first thing I thought too. No way his passengers didn't know about the drugs. Wouldn't be surprised if Camargo took the rap for them

It's not the time the problem. It's the money. Minor leaguers make less than the federal minimum wage. They play 4 months and get paid 10k. Who can survive on that?
