Would YOU cash out? Racing punter stands to win more than £500,000 from a £5 accumulator placed last June if the odds-on favourite wins tomorrow's first race at Cheltenham

    • A racing punter won't rest easy tonight with more than £500,000 on the line
    • Paul Dean placed a £5 accumulator last June, when betting on Royal Ascot
    • By placing the bet so early, he got higher odds than the current bookies' prices
    • Now if Envoi Allen wins tomorrow, he could win over half a million pounds
    • Betfair have confirmed that he has been offered £275,000 to cash out

If he had enough funds, he could hedge out for like 333k. So 275,000 isn't too bad. Take the money and run I say.

Last leg being a horse race, I'd hedge/cash out.

              looks like he cashed out

Cheltenham Festival 2021: Punter cashes out to win at least £250,000 from £5 stake

A punter will win at least £250,000 from a £5 bet after deciding to 'cash out' on the final leg of his accumulator at Cheltenham.
Paul Dean was eyeing a potential £511,000 payday on Thursday if the last runner in his five-horse wager - hot favourite Envoi Allen - triumphed.

But he has decided not to risk it all and will collect £300,000 from Betfair if Envoi Allen wins.

                        oh my

can you imagine if he hadn't taken the buy out?

if he hadn't you could kind of understand

a 1/5 fave is HUGE favorite in an 8 horse field

glad the horse and rider seem to be ok
