There is a risk in playing conference tournaments. Something is going on in Durham. The women’s team ended its season months ago and the men’s team ended with Covid today. The smartest school(highest academic standards) in the conference couldn’t get either team to the finish line.

"After working with our medical professionals and following Duke and ACC Medical Advisory Group health, safety, and contact tracing protocols, the student-athletes on our team are now in quarantine. Since last March when the pandemic started, we have listened to our medical experts and always put safety at the forefront of any determinations regarding competition. As a result, this will end our 2020-21 season. We wish every team still playing college basketball good health and the very best during the next few weeks."

Is those damn yahoos and Trumpers, I was there in NC couple weeks ago, restaurants, bars, and grocery stores are not enforcing the mask law. People are open and carry firearms in Lowes and Home Depot.

All it took was one kid who didn't even play in the Louisville game to go to a fraternity rush event and it was game over for the whole team.

Disclaimer...not sure the Duke kid actually attended any of the parties, but there were plenty of parties to attend.

Duke with a rising transmission rate on campus is shutting the rush events down, along with all big gatherings, again.
