Yes. But 2nd or 3rd could have finished first with the last week of games. 5 picks on Sunday for each. The difference between 25K and second and third winning 8,750

Nothing. I'd been trying to make my plays all week and couldn't. I checked a few minutes ago and saw an increase in my balance and saw where I had been paid where my entries finished and the contest home page now says complete.

1st place is probably one of their own entries and I would assume 2nd or third is a real person. Probably shutting it down so they don’t run the risk of paying out first

No way they lose money on this contest. Had over 50k entries at 10 dollars each. But greed is not out of the question.
