There is no feeling in betting that feels like winning in poker
In poker you're been grinding it out. You've seated yourself to the left of the suckers. You've waited, you've worked for it. You get paid. Work --->reward

In sports betting you're anticipating the actions of others - who may or may not be on the take. What they will do, what they won't do. None of it in your control.

Poker players > sportsbettors - true story

Very good point. Poker rewards has zero to do with the action of others.

                Fixed.
You're a tourney beast, imo when you get rolling, to be feared. Your big stack game is fierce.

I still remember when we both placed top 3 in the big sbr tourney. Stephan won 1st for $5k I think it was, I got 3rd and you got 2nd, if I remember correctly.
                Good times.

Lol very good point. I sports bet some too, thread was more of a joke than anything. Obviously poker is in part luck.

Definitely decreased my sportsbetting since losing 9 hundo on Kerri Walsh vs the Brazilians though - it was a penetrating cushion bet!

Best feeling is a big cash. Whether that be parlay, hitting the jackpot, winning a contest, or a tournament. I’ve made more playing ring games than tournaments but still remember my tournament wins (and losses) much more than the ring game hands.

When I use to play 5/10 or 10/20 NL at the casino here when poker was booming it was an unreal feeling when you're on a heater. Playing in 5k+ pots was the norm. Good shit.

I've played a little 2/4 but I like my 1/3 live. Online you can multi table so four 1/2 at once these days, not much action higher since black friday.

In sports betting you're anticipating the actions of others - who may or may not be on the take. What they will do, what they won't do. None of it in your control.

agreed. I remember talking to a friend many many years ago, and I suppose he was exagerating, but he said he would rather lose 500 player poker than 10 dollars betting on sports because of what you cited. no control on sports.

I actually feel the opposite way! I would much rather lose $ on sports than on poker because I know I have no control of the outcome in sports.

In poker when you lose, it's true that often times it's not realistically in your control either, sometimes making the right play won't turn out in the proper outcome, no doubt. But it always feels like you could have done something differently still, that you had some control over what happened when you clearly don't in say an NBA game.
