Do you see how long they lasted with the last coach? No chance in hell Cowboys fire this coach anytime soon

You are right. They never quit on him. Amazing really. He just couldn’t get it done. They are done with Mike McCarthy.

So.... if they don’t terminate McCarthy at year end, what is the plan? Clearly this is a mess.

maybe after Dak got his ankle shattered they just thought their season was lost so Eff it.

and maybe they're made at owner JJ for not being a backer of the BLM movement ??

would be shocking to see him get fired after just one year. that shitt happens to the freddie kitchens' of the world, not a coach like Mike M. who has been to the super bowl.

No, they already have Ben DiNucci ready to go. I believe he's related to the hotshot Italian kid who was Danny Noonan's rival in "Caddyshack"...

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly shopping edge rusher Everson Griffen, who they just signed months ago.

Jerry Jones isn’t about to let the veteran coach go in the first year of his contract. That does make this moment different from what took place a decade ago.
But that just means the Cowboys owner has fewer options available to him now to shake this team out of its lethargy.
McCarthy isn’t going anywhere. Neither is coordinator Mike Nolan, who presides over a defense that’s on pace to shatter the franchise record for most points allowed in a season.
"That hasn’t crossed my mind,'' McCarthy said when asked if he understood why reporters were asking about Nolan’s job security. "I’m focused on getting better each and every day.

                                            "That’s where we are.''
Defense isn’t the only issue. The Cowboys offense has put only 13 points on the board in the two games without Prescott. It’s been suggested McCarthy take over the play calling, a responsibility most were surprised he gave up when coming to Dallas.
Two points: Kellen Moore has done nothing to have those duties taken away from him. And if you were head coach, would you decide to call plays when a seventh round pick from James Madison will likely make the first start of his rookie season behind this offensive line?

                                            Thanks for being honest.
"We understand the disappointment outside of the building,'' McCarthy said Monday afternoon. "We’re clearly worthy of the criticism. We’ve got to make sure we stay on point, stay on target and not react and try to change up a bunch of things just to change.
"That’s not my nature. I’m a big believer in the process and that’s going to be the approach.''
Change at this point is largely limited to lineup changes — the ones that haven’t already been forced by injuries — and players returning from the injured list. The trade deadline is next Tuesday. That remains a possibility.
But at this stage the Cowboys should be put in the category of sellers, not buyers. Think about it. Would you rather have another high-priced veteran or a draft pick?
Improvement must come from within. It must come from attitude and execution.

"Well, we need both,'' McCarthy said. "As far as which is the priority, I think attitude and style of play is the primary focus.
"When your style of play is correct, your execution will benefit most from that as opposed to execution without the proper style of play.''
The Cowboys have had other disappointing seasons. Optimism wasn’t flowing when the team lost 12 of its final 14 games to close out the ’15 season. But for now, what unfolded 10 years ago is the closest parallel.
And what happened after that dark, dreary evening in Green Bay? The Cowboys went 5-3 in the second half.
If this group somehow manages to win five more games, it should win the NFC East.
                                            Going away.

yes i think your are right..............the bottom lines jones like in yrs past want a coach he can control and you see where the cowboys are on that. just very sad all that money and a ego that will not let the cowboys be any good until he is gone..............again the al davis of today... but yrs ago when he took over the cowboys he has no problem in firing Tom in the cowboys history imo they have had only 2 great coaches.....Landry & Johnson

Ugh. He wants total control and he’s a losing owner minus Jimmy and Jimmy’s guys. Just a dumbass.

Terrible coach, but I don't want to reward these quitting players...

                                                            Dallas is a mess.

To make matters worse, they are seriously considering giving Dak 40+ mil a year....
