SEC says it intends to play, but if they are only one, probably will not happen.

Pac 12 hands a bit tied wtih the 4 CA teams being unable to gather for practice in their respective counties.
They would have had to make other arrangements, increasing the costs that much more.

My sources tell me that the SEC will forge ahead and schedule some NFL teams to fortify the season.

PAC 12 also didn’t want to deal with the demands of the players. That was going to bite them in the ass once the other fall sports seasons were already cancelled

That's the one bright side of all of this, the conference gets to say "fukk off" Morino style to those few players and their letter with those crazy demands.

I wonder which medical experts the SEC is listening. Dr. Giggles and Dr Jekyl.

JJ. As long as their total idiots like you around, the books will NEVER have to worry. You, like most of the other fools in here, are a loser. Every year you lose. EVERY YEAR. Have you EVER had a winning year? Your knowledge about football resembles that of a 2 year old child. I would love to see you go to Vegas and tell my friends in the various gaming departments that their Book needs to worry. They would throw your worthless tail out in about 10 seconds. STOP telling people your lies and sordid opinions. NO ONE gives a caca.

Nah, I'm fine... You're the one waxing poetic about how college football elicits tingles in your loins comparable to your first sexual foray. Something about the leaves turning and your britches sullied with anticipation. I couldn't tell if I was reading Precious Moments or Penthouse Forum.

True, only for now.
We'll see what kind of momentum some of those causes have when it looks like football is coming back until fall of 2021 and it's either play jor not, no negotiating.
Then again, without football, they may have nothing better to do than hash out the demands.
I actually read that the commissioner was entertaining an audience with some of that.
lol

The election is over in November. No matter how badly the Libs or Trump want to drag it out, by time Spring Football season rolls around. the entire nation will be sick and tired of listening to a bunch of political B.S. That includes ANYTHING that has to do with Blacks. If I were a school administrator, I would tell ANY potential student that you ether play by MY rules or go elsewhere. Do you really think that the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 are going to put up with their crap?

I agree that the players are potentially going to be safer if they play because of the continual testing, and the fact that the universities will be holding the bill for any medical bills pertaining to the virus. If these kids aren't playing, they'll be doing other social things to catch the virus more susceptible than playing contact football. The reason I use the word "potentially" in the first sentence is because I think some of these kids might get bored with protocols after a while and venture to a party or something.

IF the SEC, ACC and Big 12 play and it is successful and with no problems, the recruiting fallout for the Big Ten will last for a decade.

It's all setting up perfectly for Nebraska to bring an SEC championship back to Lincoln where it belongs. Nebraska's biggest opponents are going to be AD's from the remaining conferences who don't want the "L" on their resume.

If it fails and the BIG 12, ACC, and SEC are paying out settlements for the next 25+ years then the teams in those conferences will be on the level of the Sun Belt conference. The perception of what the BIG 12, ACC, and SEC are trying to accomplish of pushing through won’t mean anything if they can’t finish the season.
