I don't follow it very closely but I'd say golf might be the hardest sport to learn & perfect.

In other sports like basketball, football, baseball, etc, if you're good at one, chances are you're fairly decent at all of them.

Yes golf is definitely hard to perfect..but so is all the other sports you referred to. You can become very good at golf just by taking a few lessons and playing once a week. I play with guys that way overweight and most unathletic you see..but once on the golf course they can play very good golf. These guys would never be able to play any other sport with a ball

Pro Golf tough. The level of consistency these guys play with is insane. You can blow up your entire tournament on 1 shit drive or hole during the first round of a tournament. Tigers run back in the 2000’s was just unbelievable.

So id put like 100M dash at the high end all physical....................golf at the far end skill

100M dash is just fukkin run fast...marathon is more pace controlled and ability. more thinking involved so it is closer to be all around sport

Tennis, basketball and soccer are near the middle...you need physical and skill


a pocket passer like tom brady, peyton manning....an offensive linemen or firstbasemen...those are close to skill, not athletic ability

a WR is more in the middle, same with centerfielder

because you are walking 7 miles, 90s with pants and collared shirt...sometimes 36 holes

Average
Above Average
Good
Very Good
Semi-Pro
Professional

I'm in Very-Good category and maybe just above.

I destroy everyone beneath my level, and many on it.

But now & then I'll run into a tue semi-pro who gives me a reality check.

And professionals do the same to them

These are the guys with such amazing skill & reflexes they should be recruited by the military to operate high-tech weaponry.
