    A caveat....

10-20% will be in person, enough to justify football and basketball games

    Whew

Yeah I would imagine at one point certain classes like labs will have to have people on campus.

For somethings there is no substitute.

Fans in the stands doesn’t look good though.

How can you play football in the fall when so much of it is based on travel and you have some states in horrible shape, such as Fla, Calif, and Texas, three big football states? I see now way there’s college football. NFL is a maybe.

More importantly, how can you play football with no fans when ticket sales contribute to the majority of the entire atheltice deparetment's budget?

USC could do it, they likely could take the financial hit.

But many schools can't as cardboard fans aren't going to cut it.

    100% they play

You'll see entire athletic departments destroyed otherwise

Don’t see how. I mean look at Clemson. They have 15 guys who tested positive on their team. There’s gonna be a lot of players testing positive over the coming months in the South with how bad the virus is there. I mean all it takes is one guy on a team to get it to screw it all up.

You'll see entire athletic departments destroyed if they do play as losses can be doubled in some places by playing.

It's a bad scene all around. In fact this thread needs some cheer...

It costs a lot to put on a show without fans like above ^^^.

    Test positive, isolate, move on.

    What's the problem?

No college or pro sports this year except horses; brush up on your handicapping.

The fact there’s over 100 schools And 60+ players on each team traveling all over the country plus have to go to classes and expose themselves to others. Pro sports are a different breed. College is a lot more challenging.

The first of many colleges to adopt this policy.

This might make it tough for college athletes to cheat

How do you move on when an entire team tests positive and they’re supposed to play the next week? Game over man.

i don’t think we’re going to see any basketball, baseball or football in college or the pros. They may start the games but they will end quickly once players test positive. Sucks
